A similar unmarked pot is pictured in David Wilders' book and captioned "bread pot" (See page 99 David Wilders 2003)
This particular item was unearthed some years ago by Karen Turner's father, William Holdcroft, on a building site in Yorkshire, possibly Larks Hill, Pontefract. It is now used as a garden planter.
