Notes: Large pitcher with top half glazed brown and probably dating from the early 1940's. Large round stamp on side towards base: "HARTROX" GUARANTEED LEADLESS GLAZE SAFE IN USE FOR ANY LIQUID A similar unmarked pot is pictured in David Wilders' book and captioned "bread pot" (See page 99 David Wilders 2003) This particular item was unearthed some years ago by Karen Turner's father, William Holdcroft, on a building site in Yorkshire, possibly Larks Hill, Pontefract.
