Notes: Early lidded casserole impress marked "HARTROX GUARANTEED FIREPROOF MADE IN ENGLAND"  and with impressed mark "G VI R 1940"  indicating manufacture in 1940.
For many years this casserole was used in a school kitchen in Liskeard, Cornwall.

Picture below shows the base markings of a similar casserole owned by David Marlow which has been in and used by his family since new. It is marked "G VI R 1949" indicating that this product was manufactured throughout the 1940s.
